SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 28, 2021 - Fandom, the world's largest fan platform, announces a number of executive hires in its global sales division:- Amy Venier joins the company as Vice President of Gaming & Esports based in San Francisco.
- Sumito Ahuja has joined in the newly created position of Global Head of Revenue Strategy & Operations based in New York.
- Anabella Pasqualino as Director of Sales in Latin America based in Miami.
- Lichi Wu and CHIN-CHEN Huang join the APAC sales team as Regional Sales Directors for China based in Singapore.
Venier will report to Marc Steir, Senior Vice President of North American Sales; Ahuka, Pasqualino, Wu and Huang will report to Ken Shapiro, Chief Revenue Officer at Fandom.
Venier will be responsible for growing Fandom's business in the gaming and Esports categories and creating strategic partnerships with major gaming companies. Venier comes to Fandom from Google, where she was part of the team that founded Stadia where she worked with third party content partners to bring their games to the new platform. A seasoned sales executive, she has worked with publishers and game platforms for over 20 years, where she established and led media sales teams at GameSpot and Machinima, all with a focus on media, branded content and events.
Ahuja joins the Fandom team with a wealth of experience covering operations, consulting, and corporate development where he operationalized workforce management tools, scaled new sales processes, vetted prospective acquisition deals, and built out new business line strategies. Most recently he worked at Twitter in their Revenue Strategy & Operations team for over a half a decade and prior to that at KPMG's Corporate Development team out of the Office of the Chairman to drive growth through acquisitions, partnerships and organic build-out strategies. In the newly created position as Head of Global Revenue Strategy & Operations at Fandom, he'll bring a fresh set of eyes and skills towards accelerating the business through operational best practices, go-to-market sales enablement and outlining the future roadmap of tooling and metrics to better assess key business drivers. Pasqualino comes to Fandom as Director of Sales in Latin America where she will work with advertisers looking to tap into passionate fan bases in the growing streaming, gaming and mobile categories. Pasqualino joins the company with an impressive cross-functional background in sales, media buying & planning at IMS and Nike. Most recently at IMS, she managed major accounts such as Twitch and EA.
Wu and Huang will be responsible for creating new partnerships and revenue opportunities with media agencies and Chinese gaming companies who want to reach gaming audiences abroad in the US and EU. Wu comes to Fandom from Twitter, where he led their new business team for Greater China, and prior to Twitter he also worked on both the demand side and supply side for companies like Google, AdMob, and Millennial Media. Huang joins the company from the Facebook GCR gaming team where he worked with Chinese gaming publishers and also from the start-up world where he facilitated revenue growth for new companies.
