Industry Tech Leader Quincy Carroll Joins Fandom in Newly Created Role
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – JANUARY 10, 2022 - Fandom, the world's largest fan platform, today announced Quincy Carroll as Chief Product Officer. In this new role, he will oversee Fandom's rapidly growing fan platform and develop strategies to continue to evolve and enhance the user experience. Carroll will be responsible for advancing Fandom's mission to be the fan's first choice for community and experience, evolving Fandom's core fan platform and gaming tools, while introducing new features and functionality to drive first-rate fan engagement and loyalty. Based in San Francisco, he will report to Perkins Miller, Chief Executive Officer of Fandom.
With over 300 million unique monthly users and three consecutive years of growth across its businesses, Fandom is the leading platform for in-depth information on pop culture, gaming, TV and film, where fans learn about and celebrate their favorite fandoms. He also led the launch of the pre-owned watch category on HODINKEE, which combined systems integration and design to deliver a world-class user experience. Prior to HODINKEE, Caroll was Chief Product Officer at Crunchyroll and oversaw product across a 200-person global technology team during a phase of rapid growth, which led to an acquisition by AT&T. He has also held several other product roles at leading technology companies including Apple, eBay, and YP.
"As someone who has gone deep into many fandoms throughout my life, I am thrilled to be joining the company that super-serves hundreds of millions of fans each month," said Carroll. "With Fandom's content, tabletop, and e-commerce offerings, combined with its commitment to data and technology, there is no better time for Fandom to become a fan's first choice for entertainment and gaming experiences — and I am thrilled to deliver new product experiences to accelerate and deliver on that promise."
